Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to MyVisaFit ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of data protection laws, we are the data controller of your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal identification information (name, email address, etc.)
  • Document uploads (CVs, academic transcripts, employment records, etc.)
  • Usage data (how you interact with our website)
  • Communication data (emails you send us)
  • Payment information (processed securely through our payment providers)

If you choose to allow optional website analytics, we use Amplitude's EU-hosted service to record limited page and product events. We do not enable automatic interaction capture or session replay. You can decline without losing access to any feature and change your choice later using the Analytics preferences link in the footer.

Separately, we process a small set of pseudonymous product lifecycle events where necessary to understand whether core services complete successfully—for example, that a payment, assessment, practice activity, or consultation reached a lifecycle stage. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service. These events use your internal account identifier but do not include your name, email address, CV contents, immigration answers, form entries, filenames, scores, outcomes, recommendations, or payment identifiers. You can object at any time from your profile without losing access to any feature.

Analytics data is kept only while it remains necessary for product analysis. We review the purpose, access, and retention of this data at least annually and delete or aggregate data that is no longer needed.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our services
  • Process your visa readiness assessments
  • Communicate with you about our services
  • Improve our website and services
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

5. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access your personal data
  • The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • The right to erasure of your personal data
  • The right to restrict processing of your data
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to object to processing

You can exercise the right to erasure yourself, without asking us: go to your profile and choose “Delete my account and data”. This immediately and permanently removes your uploaded CVs, assessments, answers and reports, your ILR and Life in the UK data, and your sign-in itself. There is no recovery period.

Records of payments you have made are kept, with your name, email and account link removed from them, because we are required to retain financial records and our payment processor holds its own copy of each transaction. We also keep a dated record that a deletion took place, identified only by a one-way hash, so that we can evidence the request was honoured.

6. Data Retention

We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
